Hmm… either a delayed pair of Halloween horror titles, or it’s “bloody” action or crime.
How *bloody* are these films?
Carlito’s Way (Doyle) Final Analysis (Fenton) The 13th Warrior (Goldsmith) Demolition Man (Goldenthal) Hudson Hawk (Kamen) Street Fighter (Revell) The Dark Half (Young) The Quick and the Dead (Silvestri)… IIRC pretty bloody
Oh maybe either or both of Shore’s or Young’s The Fly scores?
Maybe A Nightmare On Elm Street by Charles Bernstein (40th anniversary)
While the 2015 expanded release is pretty good, it's still missing at least a few minutes material. It would be great to get the entire score in chronological order, and with new cover art. There was 4K release of the film recently. Besides, Varese is apparently the only label that can do this, as they have the rights to it in perpetuity.
Bobby Jones A Stroke Of Genius - James Horner Mercury Rising - John Barry Man On Fire - John Scott Richie Rich - Alan Silvestri The Field - Elmer Bernstein I Am Legend - James Newton Howard Dragonfly - John Debney Scorpion King - John Debney Gods Of Egypt - Marco Beltrami Hudson Hawk - Michael Kamen Merlin - Trevor Jones Needful Things - Patrick Doyle Lake Placid - John Ottman Ghost Rider - Christopher Young Columbus The Discovery - Cliff Eidelman Ghost Ship - John Frizzell 13 Ghosts - John Frizzell Reign Of Fire - Edward Shearmur Kull The Conqueror - Joel Goldsmith Pacific Heights Hans Zimmer
For once Varese's wording would support The 13th Warrior (an A.I. result in google confirms that it's a very violent, bloody film - I've never seen it). Question in that case would be whether Varese's perpetuity arrangements would make working with Disney easier.
