There's these little black flies coming out of my bathroom sink drain. They crazy-easy to smash, but they just want go extinct. What are they? I read about them once but lost the clipping.

I'm also getting silverfish in my sheet music. Dangit.

Sounds like you live on a tip.

Seen this before, I have no actual advice to give you, no idea where and why they do this. I can, however, make suggestions. Boiling pots of water and slowly pouring it down the drain to kill any flies and larvae, checking local pet stores and see if any of them rent geckos (they eat flies and cockroaches; just leave it in the sink while the flies are there), and pour bleach down the drain once a week (maybe that'll take care of what ever they are eating in there).

If you have the time catch the flies and pull their wings off, one by one. They are then referred to as ' walks'.

That's flyist. Or Walkist.

Ive had the same issue from time to time. Pour some Liquid Drano or bleach down the drain to kill them. They seem to live in the cavern behind the back wall of the sink, beneath where the built in soap dish has its hole. Hard to get to.

FRUIT FLIES! Make one little mistake and they're everywhere! I can't figure out what they're eating. I thought I'd cleaned up all the crap. Clearly not. Now I'm going to have to make a bunch of those stupid vinegar traps. What a pain.

FRUIT FLIES! Make one little mistake and they're everywhere! They just want a place of their own to be happy. And it happens to be your place.

By the by, I usually have to wait days and days for the vinegar traps to work. This time it was just HOURS before a bunch climbed in and got soused. Like nerds at a soundtrack party!
