Looks like Intrada is reissuing Jerry Goldsmith's score to ISLANDS IN THE STREAM. This would be the original film tracks and not their re-recording based on the video.

That is correct. Coming to the label for the first time. Back in print because it deserves to be! Available Tuesday, November 19, with the master that Doug Fake personally tweaked.
If this is the first time the original score has been released, and not just another issue of the re-recording, then it would not be an improvement in audio, it would be the first time it's been mastered and released.

It's not the first time the original score has been released; it's the first time the original film recording has been released on Intrada (previous Intrada albums of Islands in the Stream were the Hungarian re-recording Jerry did for Intrada at the end of the Lionheart sessions). FSM did the premiere release of the film tracks which Bruce Kimmel of Kritzerland had saved from his time at Varese Sarabande I believe: https://www.filmscoremonthly.com/cds/detail.cfm/CDID/442/Islands-in-the-Stream/
Now Intrada is reissuing the original film recording, with apparently some tweaks Doug Fake did before he passed away.
Tweaks? See the credits as to who mastered it for FSM and tell me what tweaks would be needed.
I bought your release a year ago and I'm really satisfied with it. The only complaint I had with the release was at 12:14 in this video where the drums sounded odd(I'm not a sound expert idk what to call this). Other then that I consider the release perfect. If Intrada was able to fix that after 14 years of improved sound engineering that didn't exist then you were mastering this release then I'm willing to buy it again
I don't think anyone is throwing shade at Bruce, who certainly deserves all our thanks for having preserved the amazing film recording of this score which otherwise would have been lost to time. For anyone who doesn't know about that, here's what Bruce wrote for the FSM liner notes but which was considered too "inside baseball" to include: https://www.filmscoremonthly.com/daily/article.cfm/articleID/6405/Tapes-in-a-Bottle--Islands-in-the-Stream/
I'll be very interested to find out what was tweaked. I'll be surprised if it's anything *major* though.
