How to make your Christmas music more awesome? Well, you start with awesome instrumental Christmas music.

This thread is devoted to such pieces. I'm talking beats, power anthems, fuck yeah Christmas feelings.

All entries will be named and tracks chosen named, since videos get deleted, channels get deleted, videos get region-blocked or eventually meet copyright issues, so just providing links with no further information is stupid and annoying over time.

Today, the first day of the month I have been able to post, I open with:

Artist: Trans-Siberian Orchestra
Track: "Carol of the Bells"

This is one of my favourites.

Title: Christmas Medley (2015)
Artist: Two Steps from Hell (orchestral - NOT heavy metal despite the name!)

No, thank you.

I mostly listen to classical or orchestral film music of the season when the holiday is upon us (maybe some Enya), and usually in the calmer end of the scale, but I did get this cassette as a kid, that included various rock and pop Christmas songs. I think that's about as close as I'd ever like to come to "Fuck Yeah!" Christmas music. big grin

I'm much the same as Thor, in that I mostly listen to classical/orchestral at this time. I'm a big fan of those Christmas In Vienna recordings by Placido Domingo et al during the 90s, so I would listen to them. I have a couple of compilations of the familiar pop songs like the one Thor posted, so would give them a spin at sometime. In fact, it's the only time of year I hear a Gary Glitter song! I also listen to my numerous Andy Williams Christmas CDs which is pretty rock n roll, isn't it?

Indeed. These days, it's always with a sour taste in my mouth whenever that Gary Glitter song comes on. But what can I say? Those were different, more naïve times, when we didn't know what we know now.

Thor has failed at Fuck Yeah! Christmas Music.

Eight tiny reindeer and elves will be dispatched to take care of you.

That's correct -- you don't know what is.

You made that way too easy.

My intention, not previously stated, what that this thread was not intended for scoring (score written specifically for film/television/etc.), but I have to break my own rule just this one time, 'cause you can't have this thread without this track:

Composer: John Williams
Cue: "Setting the Track"
Film: Home Alone

Artist: Mannheim Steamroller
Track: "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen"

And unless I forgot something, that's all I got.
