I just rewatched this film again, and just like every other time I absolutely loved it! I think it is, just like FURIOSA, an unappreciated masterpiece. Although now people are starting to come around to both films. But back to PIG IN THE CITY, it’s got a great message, it is touching and has great production values. Just like all of Miller’s films I can’t recommend it enough.

Kino's gonna release this and the original Babe on 4K disc next year hopefully.

It's a widely acclaimed film, chockful of style and daring in being relatively dark for a children's film. Miller creates a completely different universe than the more traditional, albeit charming first film. One of those times where the sequel is better than the original.

superb film, very emotional and sweet, surprisingly so, and besides, gorgeously designed, amazing

Never seen either but I like family films that are a bit grippier. I really miss the intensity of older children's films. I'll have to check this one out some day.

Just kidding, but I know you like creative stuff

it is a nutty film, the visuals rendering the city here are really great, it is a composite metropolis of great world cities.
And Mickey Rooney, in a really sweet role.

Sounds interesting! Yeah I like splendid visuals and an atmospheric film. Early Disney and Bluth were kings at this.

yeah, I want to watch Bluth Anastasia again, I have that on bluray, that is unusual for being a large widescreen shot film at 2:35:1, a very good looking winter film, quite nice

Hey buddy! That little dog’s name is Flealick and he’s a great character with a great personality, just like Babe and so many others in the film. Also, the film is very intense, you actually fear the lives of several characters in the film.

Hi friend! Awesome, sounds good. Intensity is whats missing from films like these nowadays.
