I think every single Mel Gibson-directed film so far has been excellent. For this, it's the first time I've been a bit worried. Wahlberg has the acting chops of a soft ice, and the premise seems so-so. But proof is in the pudding and all that. Will wait and see.
So if John Debney is unavailable for Gibson`s sequel to Passion of the Christ I guess Gibson might use Pinto for that one or if Debney is available Gibson could use Debney for that one and Pinto or Debney for Lethal Weapon 5? Who knows.
Or he could go back to Jack Lenz or Lisa Gerrard, only this time use their scores.
Or ask Carter Burwell again, who apparently was one of his initial choices to score it.
That would’ve been awesome. Still, I’ll see the movie regardless. Looks fun and (between this and Carry-On) it’s good to see mid-budget thrillers making something of a comeback.
