These arrived very quickly for me and via Fedex (much preferable to DHL, who seem to have mixed up various addresses I've used over the years).
They sound great. It's lovely to have Americans for the proper cover art, and is The Lion In Winter on The Concert John Barry new to this disc? I can't remember if it was included on the Universal France version.
On Stephen and Gareth's VAT issue, unless the goods are worth more than £135, the seller is required to pay the VAT on goods sent to UK buyers. The parcel should only be held up if worth more than that. £135 is also the import duty limit.

The Lion in Winter was recorded for The Concert John Barry but was not included. A few years ago this track was released on a Ecoutez Le Cinema compilation LP only.

You are correct Ellington. It's as simple as that and anyone who hasn't / doesn't pay any VAT when receiving goods has been lucky! I don't intend to get caught out. In days gone by - when anything over £13 was subject to duty I got stung for duty a few times as I obviously ordered a few CDs at a time to outweigh the cost of the postage. Of course, the odd parcel slipped through the net as it was a random check at customs. I swapped from SAE to Music Box (who I didn't previously know about) but after 'Brexit' they insisted that you order £135 of goods - which immediately attracts customs duty.
So I went back to SAE who provide an *excellent* service with parcels taking around 9-10 days to arrive here. I take care to ensure each one is less than the £135 limit (which includes postage). I've had no issues / duty. If I were to order from Quartet I have the issue of VAT as they do not pay the UK VAT on the goods. With LLL and SAE there's no issue - just the import duty issue.
Obviously the Polydor set and other Quartet releases are cheaper direct from them, but if you have to pay 20% when they arrive here it's not worth the risk. I believe the postage is more with Quartet too.
Knowing my luck if I ordered from Quarter I'd end up paying the VAT as one should. I should also add that if a parcel attracts vat and / or duty it just slows it up so can take a week longer to arrive.
