This forthcoming week, BBC Radio 3 will feature Michel Legrand as Composer of the Week. The programmes are scheduled now for 1600 hrs broadcast and can be accessed later on the BBC iPlayer.
Well that came and went without much ado. A lot of his best-known themes and songs given over to piano renditions (albeit by Legrand himself). And a lot of fairly obscure stuff, even for this composer. Can't believe we had five hour-long programmes about Michel Legrand without including ICE STATION ZEBRA. Shocking!!

I like ICE STATION ZEBRA, but it's more a US thing. For many Europeans, there are many Legrand scores ahead of that.
