It is very intriguing why Rozsa "King of Kings" wasn't re-released since Rhino release in 2002.

Of course we have new, wonderful Tadlow new recording but it hard to understood why there isn't any rerelease of original MGM Orchestra Recording.

Of course "perfect" King of Kings will be box with both MGM recording and Rome LP recording...

With the end of Tadlow Records, getting hold of the re-recording of King of Kings is even more difficult. It would be great if the re-recordings could be acquired and put in circulation, they are great.

The way the soundtrack market is heading, I would be very surprised if we see a remastered OST.

I could add why is it needed. The Tadlow is spot on and I'm a big Rozsa fan.

The actual OST which is a rerecording came out on the FSM ROZSA TREASURY BOX Set.

I’m a proud owner of both the Rhino CD and the Rózsa Treasury with Rózsa’s album recording, but yes, it’s very surprising we never got a reissue before Warner ceased relations with the labels. While I don’t know if the recent purchase of Warner’s music library will change anything, it would be nice if a reissue pairing both original and album recordings were released for those who missed out.
