I wonder what actor/actress has the most movies with great scores. In my opinion it is Tom Hanks who has movies with scores like (and it's just my taste, not a complete list):

Forrest Gump
Here
Cast Away
by Alan Silvestri

Saving Private Ryan
Catch Me if You Can
Terminal
by John Williams

Joe vs the Volcano
by Georges Delerue

The Da Vinci Code
Angels & Demons
A League of Their Own
Radio Flyer
by Hans Zimmer

Big
by Howard Shore

Apollo 13
Volunteers
by James Horner

News of the World
by James Newton Howard

Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close
By Alexandre Desplat

Saving Mr. Banks
Road to Perdition
by Thomas Newman

Cloud Atlas
by Reinhold Heil, Johnny Klimek, Tom Tykwer

Who would be your choice?

Tom Hanks is good. They've also done albums focussing on the scores from the films of Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Harrison Ford, so that's a pretty good sell-in right there -- when they make albums based on the actor or actress (who has no influence on what type of score that's being used in the films they star in....it's all more or less coincidental).

I think my own choice would be Harrison Ford.

We had a thread on this before.

Charles Bronson had some pretty impressive scores throughout his career, and a whole range of stellar composers.

Same with
Robert redford,
Sean Connery,
Ernest Borgnine
Kirk Douglas,
and as Damian said above Charlton Heston.

Pretty much most leading actors whose careers straddled 50s/60s/70s/80s/90s because it ran in parallel with a phenomenal group of big-hitters in the composing field.

Tom Cruise had a great 1983-1990 period with RISKY BUSINESS, LEGEND, TOP GUN, RAIN MAN and DAYS OF THUNDER.

Stallone's 85-89 was great too with ROCKY IV, COBRA, OVER THE TOP and TANGO & CASH.

Dang nabit. Was just coming here to say Connery and I was beat to it! He got some of the best of Barry, Goldsmith (where's Medicine Man and The Great Train Robbery on this list?), AND Williams (can't forget Last Crusade!).

Goldsmith, in particular, seemed to be inspired whenever Connery was on screen as you can just about include every film Goldsmith scored with Connery in it on a Goldsmith "best of" list (and it was transactional; how can we not mention Goldsmith serving as Connery's "hair consultant" on Medicine Man!!!)

Yes. I never picked it up, not too fond of cover versions.

MARNIE!! (one of my all time favorite Bernard Herrmann scores)

Also, THE GREAT TRAIN ROBBERY, MEDICINE MAN and FIRST KNIGHT by Jerry Goldsmith, RISING SUN by Toru Takemitsu, ROBIN HOOD - PRINCE OF THIEVES by Michael Kamen, INDIANA JONES AND THE LAST CRUSADE by John Williams....

Perhaps more... but these I had to add.
