I wanted to order one of their books and attempted to connect to - johnbarry.org.uk. But now I get a warning about a “private connection”. Could be risky… Anyone? It says account suspended on this end.

It was hacked long time ago.

No, it wasn't hacked. My understanding is that the owners of the website lost access in some way.

lost access in some way. So, it was hacked, because you're not going to say they forgot their password and/or forgot to pay for the server ?

I'm very sorry for the loss of access to our website. Unfortunately, due to the incompetence of the hosting company, 123 Reg (part of GoDaddy), we have lost access to our account, following a company internal transfer from the previous host, TSO. As I am unable to confirm my identity as owner in the required format, they have declined to investigate any further. This also means we cannot simply move to another hosting company, as 123 Reg also manage the domain. I am continuing to appeal to whoever I can find in the company with more than one brain cell and capable of understanding basic English, but this has been going on for several weeks, so I am not optimistic. In the meantime, it is possible to access the website direct through this link: https://web.archive.org/web/20241212132707/https://johnbarry.org.uk/index.php
