TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 18 DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN---trailer released for the Marvel/Disney+ tv series. LINK: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ayCsxZsFfdY THE KING OF KINGS---trailer released for the animated movie about Jesus Christ starring Oscar Issac. LINK: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HDhet3EVRac DUNE---movie insider Daniel Richtman claims Warner Bros. has approached Gareth Edwards (ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY, JURASSIC WORLD REBIRTH) to direct the fourth movie in the franchise. Speculation is the new movie would be based on CHILDREN OF DUNE. PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN---the unofficial Disney news website The DisInsider claims Johnny Depp is returning for the next movie in the franchise, "Now, one source tells us that Walt Disney Studios is quietly gearing up to begin production on the next installment of the series at one Hollywood sound stage. Although there is no timeline for when production will officially begin, we have heard that this entry will feature the return of Depp! Unfortunately we couldn’t get any other details about the production. And we could not get a second source to verify the info either." DOCTOR WHO---a British tabloid claimed that the sci fi series will go on hiatus for five to ten years because of low ratings due to Ncuti Gatwa being cast as the new Doctor Who and that the role will be recast. The tabloid said Gatwi intended to move to Hollywood to advance his career. A spokesperson for the tv series denied the report, "This story is incorrect, DOCTOR WHO has not been shelved. As we have previously stated, the decision on season 3 will be made after Season 2 airs. The deal with Disney Plus was for 26 episodes – and exactly half of those still have to transmit. And as for the rest, we never comment on the Doctor and future storylines." THE BRUTALIST---director Brady Corbet was asked how much money he has made from the movie starring Adrien Brody and has 10 Academy Award nominations, “Actually, zero. We had to just sort of live off of a paycheck from three years ago. Our film premiered in September. So I’ve been doing this for six months. And had zero income because I don’t have any time to go to work." He added, “I’ve spoken to many filmmakers that have the films that are nominated this year that can’t pay their rent. I mean, that’s a real thing.” THE DARK KNIGHT---director Uwe Boll said Warner Bros and DC asked him to change the title of his vigilante movie starring Armie Hammer, “DC and Warner already contacted and said I can’t use the title. I understand that but I told them “Guys, remember RAMPAGE, the Rock movie? You used my title. The fact that they did that, and called me for permission, they could show gratefulness and say, listen it’s not a Batman movie and you can use the title.” SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE---the 50th anniversary show drew 14.8 million viewers which is 202% more than a regular episode. EUPHORIA---Sharon Stone is in negotiations to join the cast in Season 3 in an undisclosed role. TRIVIA---on GILLIGAN'S ISLAND, Tina Louise insisted that creator Sherwood Schwartz base her character, Ginger Grant, on Marilyn Monroe and Jayne Mansfield. Ironically, the Ginger role was originally offered to Jayne Mansfield, but her actor husband, Matt Cimber, advised her to turn the role down. Mansfield, the former PLAYBOY Playmate of the Month who was tired of being typecast as a blonde bombshell, agreed and passed on playing a character that became a tv sitcom icon. Had Mansfield accepted the role, she would have been in Hollywood filming GILLIGAN'S ISLAND's Season 3 in 1967, but instead she was near New Orleans on June 29 when she was killed when her car struck a tractor trailer. WARLOK: Years ago, a former newspaper co-worker of mine said he was on duty when the photo of Jayne Mansfield's wreck came in over the wire. It appeared to show someone had placed Mansfield's decapitated head on the hood of a nearby car. While doing the trivia on Ginger and Mansfield, I looked up the decapitated head subject and found out it was only her wig or scalp that someone had placed on the car hood----Mansfield was not decapitated, but apparently the top part of her head (scalp) was torn off. Wiki states about the supposed decapitation, "However, Mansfield's death certificate, which states her immediate cause of death to be "crushed skull with avulsion of cranium and brain," rules this out.The identity of the head-like shape has not been definitively determined, but it is debated to have been either a wig that Mansfield was wearing or carrying, the top portion of her real hair and scalp, or "something else entirely."

Very interesting. Thanks for indulging the interest - one of the reasons I come to the FSM forums and follow your post series.
