SEASON 1:
NOTE: This was originally posted June 7, 2024 in my thread for "Police Story". This feature-length episode served as a back-door pilot for the 1975 spin-off series. It lasted one full season Until that back-door pilot was posted, there was only one episode to be found and it was in another language, but now episodes are starting to pop up (some missing, so far), so I'll cover an episode here and there as time passes until loads run out. The bland forgettable theme music is by Richard Markowtiz. "The Return of Joe Forrester" (1.0) By: Richard Markowitz https://ok.ru/video/6919396657667 (link used) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ilFFL7PSf8 NOTE: It's been too long since I did this series, so if there is any tracked scoring in this, it's unlikely I'll identify any of it. Highlights: 1:27 in.^ 31:25 in.^ 36:10 in. 37:02 in.^ 38:25 in. The pool place source cue. 40:07 in.^ 44:18 in. More enjoyable source music.^ 46:34 in.^ 50:23 in. 52:55 in.^ There is surprisingly little scoring in this. The first two highlights cover nearly every single score cue from the first half, discounting source cues. It's also obvious that Markowtiz hasn't come up with his boring forgettable theme for the spin-off series yet, as I didn't spot it. But it's possible I missed it. At least twice Joe is going around and it's the Goldsmith parent series' theme playing. (Note to Me: 10:19, 58:22) I've been searching Youtube for years to find episodes of that, to solve who did what. These are the composers that ASCAP listed for that series (BMI had none): Richard Markowitz. Morton Stevens. Harold Gelman. Also, Robert Drasnin contributed.
