I'm neither saying nor implying anything -- just asking, because many of us remember what happened: Perseverance Records released this, but it was stopped as it turns out they didn't get the rights. He said he'd look into it and get back, never did, labels heads tried to set him straight and help, but at that time it didn't work. Sine then we al got told the rights owners won't cooperate. At the time, Lukas clearly pointed out: "The confusion of the Slipstream license is because Bernstein's estate owns the publishing while the film company owns the recorded master, as I explained initially. Lukas " He "blew the whistle" on the release, and said way more, but I don't want to dredge that all up again. I just don't see anything in the announced to curtail my worries, that's all.

I just ordered SLIPSTREAM and the Gil Melle score for STARSHIP INVASIONS at the BSX website. Thank you for all the work you've done with the Melle estate on bringing us Gil's scored.

I was fortunate enough to get a copy of the initial release. Very nice score.

Wow, that's quite a release. It's a legendary score, and I might say, a very good one. I haven't seen the movie (just clips of it on YouTube), but the music is excellent, vintage Bernstein.

For what it's worth, Elmer is listed as the conductor, (uncredited), on the film's IMDb page under the Music Department, along with some other uncredited contributors.

I agree on an official statement about the licensing issue which has given this particular score an infamous release history. I have the Perseverance version, so if this new DDR release is officially licensed (properly), please proudly announce it. Why? Are they on trial?
