Matthew Sweet? is he the person whose name escapes you?

Don't think.so. I think it was three composers. Though I could be mistaken.

I thought the movie was amazing!! Brilliant! And it looked and sounded stunning!

BUT...

First of all, I cannot believe they cut out THE LAST SAMURAI! My favorite part of this whole tour and the one I anticipated the most to rewatch! Who made that decision?? They also cut No Time To Die which was awesome in the show. All I can hope for is that they release an extended cut for the bluray/digital which has the whole show.

Also, the conversations was nice enough for first time viewing. But if you're like me, who loves to put the Prague bluray on and just watch/listen to the show, the talking bits will be quite annoying in the long run. Would be great if there's an option for that for the physical release. To just watch the show. I would also love to see the original show versions of the ones that had a special stage. Interstellar i.e. looked magical in the show with the star storm during Coward and the woman hanging from the ceiling etc.

All in all, an amazing concert film, but I do hope for a different physical release.

I will never get over it if they dont include The Last Samurai...never! lol!

Yeah, I knew this was more up your alley than mine, acathla!

And yes, would gladly have exchanged some of the noisefest tracks with THE LAST SAMURAI -- that score, as well as TEARS OF THE SUN, is why I've stretched my "golden period" as far as 2003.

Yeah, I just absolutely love this tour and the arrangements. And also love much of his newer stuff as well as old stuff.
The whole Last Samurai from the tour was just so amazing! Hopefully they'll include it for the bluray!

The black and white interviews were really perfect breaks to help re-set the ears to take in the magnificent pieces. I really loved every minute of the experience. It wasn't too long at all for me. Hopefully they'll include Last Samurai on the bluray.

Also, I really welcomed the additional expansions on pieces like Man of Steel especially. The guitar solo was mind blowing.

Wondering if he would ever consider a multiple week residency at the Sphere in Vegas... It might work... Perhaps 3 weeks with 6-10 shows spread out over that window...

I just got back from the film. There was probably like 15 people in the theater...yet some of them felt the need to have side conversations. ??????? I enjoyed the new arrangements with the rock elements in many cases. I thought it was odd that some of the tracks were not from the live concert, but recorded elsewhere and in some cases spliced together with concert footage. I didn't find the interview sections all that interesting and certainly wouldn't see the need for repeated viewing of the interview segments. Kind of bummed to hear there were some tracks in the concert that didn't make it into the film.

I thought about going but it wasn't included in my AMC A-List subscription and I didn't want to pay $25 to see it. Plus the two hour and 37 minute run time was off putting. It's hard for me to sit through anything that long these days.

For me it was $16 plus a $2 fee on the regal website. I guess I could have saved the $2 and bought it at the theater. I think the theater was fairly old though. Definitely not the comfiest of seats

Yes, to my surprise (because the concerts sell so well), the two screenings I was at didn't light up ticket sales either. Probably 15 on the first, and about 30 on yesterday's. I had a 45-minute Zimmer lecture lying around, that I boiled down to 10 for this, because the film is so insanely long (as I said, about an hour too long), so didn't want to hog up more time than necessary. I didn't stay for the film yesterday, the first time was enough.

Need to seek out that WORLD OF HANS ZIMMER thing now, as I think that's more up my alley than this.

Saw it yesterday and absolutely enjoyed the heck out of it. Thought it was very good and really made me kick myself that I wasn't able to go to the concert when it was close by.
My theater was about half full, so not too bad.

It's a great show! It's the "Hans Zimmer Live" tour setlist, except the filmed version omits a few pieces (Last Samurai, Top Gun, No Time To Die, Absurdities...)
