Yeah, I was surprised the contestant didn't get question 9 right. One of the easiest ones for me! He did well enough though, nine out of eleven.

Who was the contestant? A former librarian named Rob Caley. Unfortunately for him, he lost because he had one "pass" in his General Knowledge round to a lady (whose special subject had been on the life and career of Audrey Hepburn) who'd had no "passes". Close, but no cigar!

Found the episode on YouTube. Funnily, I got the one he didn't (no. 9), as well as no. 6, but that was it for me. About a year ago or so, I watched a couple of Mastermind seasons on YouTube (some of the latest seasons are available there; obviously not the older ones -- the series has been running since 1972!). I love hardcore niche quiz shows, but obviously - as a Norwegian - I struggle a bit with some of those questions about British society, culture and history. And I also have to translate everything in my head, and sometimes I know an answer in Norwegian, but not in English. So at some point, the frustration becomes slightly greater than the enjoyment. But good show!
