By the way, "Lokutus," the cover art is based on the original poster. I personally think it fits the film just fine - it's a 1980s horror film set in the fashion world. Or is it another aspect of the packaging you don't like? It's the digipak that, to be fair, looks reasonably turdworthy. Rustblade, as far as I know, put all their titles up on Bandcamp, so I will be purchasing the CD through there and getting a digital download with it so I can leave the packaging well alone.

Thanks for the Bandcamp mention - good to keep an eye on their releases there.

We really are an odd lot. And some are odder than most.

It's a shame that a BRAND NEW, PREMIERE RELEASE of an old Pino Donaggio thriller score (from his Golden Period) being made available ON CD (in this day and age, no less) for the first time, has become a bit of a snipe-fest against card/digi packaging. We really are an odd lot. It's what happens when people get spoiled. 30 years ago, very few film scores that weren't tied in with concurrent movie releases were released at all, very few vintage film scores were re-released (let alone expanded or re-recorded). Every release like that was manna from heaven. Nowadays, it seems people complain unless every release is specifically tailored to their individual needs and aesthetics. People complain when the original soundtrack is re-released because it's not expanded, people complain if it's an expanded release because it's not the original soundtrack, people complain if it's both expanded and original soundtrack because it's redundant, people complain if it's only vinyl and not CD, or if it's only CD and not download or if it's only download and not vinyl. I don't really mind digipacks if they are done nicely, and as long as they arrive unscathed.

Way prefer jewel cases myself and I was thrilled when Emarcy re-released their Écoutez Le Cinéma on cases instead of the fragile digipacks. However, CD = sale. So good news all around.
