I haven't.seen this mentioned so...
There's seems to be a decent wedge of new music here.

Sepolta Viva is a really beautiful score, that seems to be unknown/underrated for/by many.
Gorgeous music!

I love Sepolta Viva.

L'Anticristo is a bit of a grating listen, but that doesn't mean it's not interesting.

Oh wow! Exciting news. Sepolta Viva's a beauty. And I look forward to hearing more of L'Anticristo - I think there used to only be 2 tracks available.

Since I didn't see these movies, I'm actually curious about both expansions. I hope L'ANTICRISTO just doesn't repeat variations of the two tracks featured on the single but has a bit more to offer.

Yes, more insane violin or church organ. Lol

Yes, more insane violin or church organ. Lol

Lol. This said, I'm very fond of the passionate violin track composed by the Maestro. As for the organ track by Nicolai, I guess Micke will be very happy to get more variations.

At this stage, I am happy even with more variations! We don't get unreleased Morricone very often.

I played the Spalax CD this morning in order to remind me more precisely of the contents of both scores. I had forgotten how beautiful the track Pietà (from SEPOLTA VIVA) is. Could it be Marianne Eckstein performing the solo flute in this track? I also feel that Dino Asciolla could be present here and there in this score. I'm afraid this new release won't name the soloists though.

Indeed I have always thought of SEPOLTA VIVA as a hidden gem.

I was unfamiliar with "Sepolta Viva" - I don't recall ever hearing about the film either - but I'm pretty astonished by the track posted above. It's wonderful! I'm surprised that this score seems to have fallen through the cracks even for those like me who have heard so much of his music over the years. This is a very welcome re-release/expansion.

Has anyone got the new edition? Sound improvement? What about the extra tracks?

Just been looking for the film. Doesn’t seem to be on Blu-ray yet but there’s a region-free DVD available. It isn’t high on my priority list so I can give it a bit longer to surface on a higher-resolution disc. However, it features the refulgent Agostina Belli, so fingers crossed for early developments.
