I guess that means Thelma & Louise is coming soon. smile

Again? Why?

I mean, why not? The previous versions are long sold out, it's a great Zimmer score, it certainly deserves to be available again.

Fingers crossed LLL will also re-release Black Rain at some point. Still upset with myself I didn't buy that one at the time.

I have NoteForNote stunning CD release of "Thelma..." signed by Zimmer, so I'm not interested in the upcoming LLL version, but it's very good that this amazing score is coming out again soon, as many didn't manage to buy it then.

I have this beauty in my hands! It looks magnificent. I'll have to give it a proper listen this weekend.

Forgive me if I'm asking the obvious, but does this pretty much get rid of the previous releases or is there a reason to hold on to the original album and MMF?

Glorious release. The “Opening Soldiers” track is a pleasant surprise.

At first glance, I see that "To Marrakesh (Alternate II)" is quite a bit shorter than "The General Who Became A Slave" from the More Music album.

My purchase arrived today and I am very pleased with it. Will play Disc 3 tomorrow. I am not a Zimmer completist by any means, but this one is to be treasured. Thank you, Lala Land.

Kritzerland's version has much worse graphic design than NFN's version, IMHO.

Yes, T&L is mentioned by LLL in Gladiator 3CD booklet:

"Some other La-La Land Records albums that feature liner notes by Kaya include Rain Man, Thelma & Louise, The Weather Man and The Ring."

I'm absolutely in tears listening to this. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, everyone at La La Land Records. This release means more to me than words can ever say. It's everything I ever dreamed it could be.

Bless you all. <3

Aha. We're in the "it's shipped!/it's being processed!/ Nothings happening!/ It's stuck in transit/ it's gone to the wrong country/ tracking isn't working/ postal service has lost it/ where's my parcel/ I think the neighbours got it, I'm sure I heard it playing next door/ it's here?/ It's here!/ Haven't listened to it yet/ sounds great!/ Something sounds wrong to my ears/ what have they done?/ they sent the wrong discs/ what's the next release " phase of this thread.

It's like the good old days. Good times.

LOL, indeed.

My favorite is "next!" It's always the first one. big grin

The mastering on this is way better than on the OST.

Loving this release. It's been on repeat (along with A League Of Their Own) since it arrived. I think one of the things that surprised me is that Am I Not Merciful? appears to have been intended for a different scene from the Sketchbook.

Also, is this the first time a La La Land release has had gapless tracks that lead into eachother like on the original album? The whole thing flows so well.

I like that too…but my music service I use..will allow me to place gaps in between 2,3,4,5, seconds and on and on.

I really never listen to Hans Zimmer scores. This is a good score ..except The Massive Blatant Gustav Holst Mars Sequence! And that the Attention of The Gustav Holst Foundation in 2006 to file a lawsuit against Hans Zimmer. It got settled out of court! But it is a good score and Lisa Gerrard work is Beautiful.

I've never been a Hans Zimmer fan, but his score for Gladiator is one of my favourite scores and this new release finally does it justice. Everything about the release is first class, artwork, mastering and presentation of the music.
As on the original soundtrack CD some tracks blend into each other whilst there are spaces between others, as a listening experience it works really well.
Thankyou La La Land for this release, it's been a long wait but we finally have Gladiator in a complete form and in wonderful sound, a dream come true.

Not a fan of Zimmer, not even close, but if we re to accuse him of lifting music then where does that leave Jimbo Horner. Asking for a friend.
