It's worth noting that James Nelson digital airplane really made this album sound really really good I think it will be a big surprise

Wow I can't believe I missed this announcement yesterday. I'm really glad this is re-released again. I'll buy it soon enough once I get my check tomorrow

We worked quite hard to upgrade the overall sound, thanks to the magic of James Nelson at Digital Outland

Purchased. smile

The recent reissue of Sisters had me wondering whether the Night Digger and Battle of Neretva might be remastered one of these days as well.

Well, at least the selections here look like they have been.

Herrmann is the only other composer besides Barry that I'm a no-questions-asked completist for.

And, once again, I love having instant access to hi-res digitals while waiting for the CD to ship.

Cheers

This digital + physical combo is also something I like very much with the direct online buying option at Buysoundtracks/Dragon's Domain website. Great B to C business management.

Out of curiosity, has anyone taken the time to listen to this new version?

Any feedback?

I'm curious, as well. I have the original edition and would like to hear comparisons.

I'm still hoping somebody has given this is Spano wants to post some thing about it. I happen to think this one is quite good.

I enjoyed it. Happy to see all the Lasher recordings reissued. I remember some of them got pretty pricey on the used market over the years. Some of these tracks I don't recall hearing until I listened to them on this release.

This is a nice compilation disc. I enjoy the Nocturnes from Magnificent Ambersons. Haven’t heard them before. Herrmann himself had re-recorded most of the Citizen Kane cues and Gerhardt did the Aria but it nice a slightly different interpretation. The Kentuckian is nice too. Not of fan of Battle of Neretva. Wonder why Herrmann chose to be part of this movie.

Has anyone else listened to it and heard other opinions?
