I like Ben Wallfisch, even if some of his more recent efforts have descended into jarring sound design, lacking much in the way of musical intent (WOLFMAN...INVISIBLE MAN).
This is his latest collaboration with the guy who did LIGHT'S OUT and ANNABELLE CREATION (both scored by BW).

I can't imagine there are many who want to listen to more of this...

Film looks like another re-tread of CABIN (FEVER) IN THE WOODS OF THE EVIL DEAD (snooze)

I'm not thrilled either, with the direction Wallfisch has taken in recent years (where's the guy who did SUMMER IN FEBRUARY, BHOPAL: A PRAYER FOR RAIN, DESERT DANCER, BITTER HARVEST etc.?). Although I DO like his work with Zimmer on BR2049 and DUNKIRK, for example.

But I always hold out hope that a project arrives that makes him flex those muscles again.

This score doesn't sound very interesting, but the film does. I'll be seeing it right after Easter. Love these premises.

Yeah, pretty much agree, although I did really like THE FLASH and TWISTERS has been getting a good few spins too.
Oh, and his ALIEN WHATEVER score was very good in parts, if a bit too on-the-nose with the Goldsmith nods.
I LOVED Cabin In The Woods but this looks too much like it for me not to get bored quickly and the shocks look tired/lame been-there-done-that.

If I love a premise, there's no limit to my interest. I may have seen it a thousand times before, but I'm still glued to the screen. Other examples are spaceship movies, low-dialogue films with lots of space/surroundings, jungle/woods/nature films and closed quarters things. This fits neatly into some of that. Love EVIL DEAD, CABIN IN THE WOODS, KNOCK AT THE CABIN and whatever else has been done in this sub genre.

And time loops, man! Love that to bits.
