In-the-works. Speculation in the second film even happening was justified given how they'd talked about making it at least sin 1998 (FSM had even reported back then Elfman scoring it), but given we finally got the sequel, I think it's reasonable to assume this film will happen. WB CEO's Michael De Luca and Pamela Abdy confirmed it in the last few days. EDIT: I'm sure given the second film's name, this one will likely be the name three times, but there is not enough characters in the Subject line to name it and the eventual composer.

I read at another website that he (Tim) had said the second film revitalized him, brought him back, that he felt the soulless machine of Disney had crushed him (something along those lines), so I guess it's possible they could wave some cash in front of him -- and maybe not that much cash. Until I hear some kind of word of how is doing it, I'll save speculation on the composer for later. If he does it though, I think it'll be a "theme by" Elfman and score by Crispy Bacon situation, but if not, no telling where the composer choice will go. (apparently Dumbo so crushed him, he thought about retiring after that)
