Any US based users pay tariffs on imported CDs lately? Well Andy received some stuff from other wordly places and no extra so called import charges were included. So, I'm assuming EU orders to the US most likely will not be charged import fees or whatever else one wants to call it... including the beautiful word tarrifs. And if one wants to be technical, there has been an agreed delay from the US on imposing a 50% tariff on European goods till July 9th. But let's get to business here... there were some copies of Bernstein's "Scalphunters" for 45 euro. Now it's sold out again. Did anyone grab a copy? So many great titles but again, I'm contemplating which ones I will be choosing. Then, I added a different title to my Intrada cart, and pressed the Launch Codes on that one as well. No matter I change the address it's still this same message. This is happening since the Quartet's Big Sale last year. Also I've sent two emails asking for help and they have never been replied. I mean, what's the point having an email if they don't reply it? And I'm sure I've checked the spam box. I had the same issue with Digitmovies not that along ago trying to place an order. Never really looked into it as my shopping excitement deflated and just let it go for some other time. I have never seen that message before and I have placed online orders numerous of of times throughout the years. I don't even know what it means exactly. Google that message and you might get some info. That's what I did. Here are some suggestions... clear your browser cache, use another browser, remove all items from cart and play with that, or open a new account with a different email. I picked up some Morricone CDs and took the chance on (for me) some of the more obscure stuff, like Piero Piccioni's INGHILTERRA NUDA. I'm giving this Piccioni score a first play ... having bought it a few weeks ago. I like a lot of his work but admit that this one isn't hitting home yet (thought the cue Organ Shake - tr.6 is great fun*) ... nothing to dislike, just a bit low-key. My last Piccioni purchase was Tre Fratelli (1981) and it took me almost a year to play it fully (I had once started but for whatever reason cancelled play) ... initially I wasn't inspired but by its end (a long score 70+ mins) I thought it was wonderful. I'm tempted by this Quartet offer even though there aren't 8 releases I'm anxious to buy (query: do double CDs count as 2?) but I'm also nervous that a package with a value of Eur 100 or so is going to attract attention ... 20% VAT plus handling charge will eliminate most of the discount. *tr.10 Psychedelic Shake is "groovy" ... as they used to say ... maybe the score will be a "hit" after all.    Posted:   Jun 5, 2025 - 7:34 AM     By:   Luigi   (Member) I had the same issue with Digitmovies not that along ago trying to place an order.
