It is terrible when someone leaves us far too soon... let us hope that this is not a starting trend among our film music brothers and sisters.

I play James Horner“s GLORY right now. And it is in his memory. Philipp

Good grief, I don't know what to say, that's why I won't use a lot of words. My sincere condolences.

I wish him entrance to Soundtrack Heaven. Even now, he's conversing with Jerry and Elmer, while the complete music tracks of QUO VADIS play in wonderful stereo. On arrival, he was given every soundtrack he ever wanted, or even suspected he wanted, as well to be with all the creators of his favorite music. And some say, because of his devotion, he has even been bestowed the gift of hearing all the scores his favorite composers never wrote, but nevertheless considered in their heads. Imagine: the day will come when he will be able to share with us Rozsa's MUTINY ON THE BOUNTY, or Herrmann's PORTRAIT OF JENNIE. Or whatever you ever thought you wanted to be hear. I'm sure he's having a time of it, even as we speak.

This is terribly sad news. K-9, like Guy McKone before him, always struck me as a genuinely nice guy. May he rest in peace and may his family and friends find solace in his memory.

...actually there should be SOME way to inform messageboard members about these unfortunate events... I mean, someone may have passed away, and nobody here will ever know and only wonder, gee, why isn't X posting anymore?...
