Whats wrong with minor chords
Nothing at all. I think we are referring to the title of Previn's book "No minor chords, please". You know, minor in music sounds "sad" -i.e: Schindler's list- major, is "happy" -i.e: Star Wars-. I think Previn was referring to an order from an excutive in the studio, who obviously was an ignorant in musical matters but had the nerve to give orders to the musical staff!

That reminds me of the anecdote of a director who wanted a Brahms-like score for his film and suggested to have Brahms himself come to the US and write the score. http://www.filmscoremonthly.com/board/biggrin.gif">

That's funny. I mean, everybody knows that Brahms' schedule is too tight for film projects. http://www.filmscoremonthly.com/board/biggrin.gif">
