A film score producer called Bruce
Thinks some of my rhyming's too loose
To correctness he's partial
'Cos to our Mr Marshall
To misrhyme is verbal abuse

Dammitt Jeh, i'm a journalist...not a producer!*

* that the other guy

Oh. You mean you're two separate guys. Like Georges Delerue? Damn.

He had such a musical brain,
And proved it again and again:
He could pen a hit tune
Like Rawhide or High Noon;
All hail to the guy from Ukraine.

Spot on - swerved the tricky name!

...but in an attempt not to avoid trickiness altogether...

La musique de monsieur Legrand,
Était aimée de tout le mond’
Et si je regrette
La perte de «The Great»
Le chagrin est sincère et profond.

EDIT: Hmm ... forgive my schoolboy French, I'm not sure "perte" means "loss" in quite the way I intended. May have to search for an alternative. Anybody proper Francophones here??

The "Saint Joan" chap, Mischa Spoliansky
He left very little to chance-ski
His family fled Russia
Then Berlin (once Prussia)
To England, quite missing out France-ski

(Stupid, but I like it)

Daft? Of course but fun, and I agree it is rather brilliant.

And Swoony now offers a haiku...
Would using a few more meilleurs taux credits words psyche-u?
And even then - my God
He mentions his ipod!
Oh, Swoony, that's so very like-u

smile

A vinyl release might make it possible to do a CD transfer, if nothing else exists

Let’s say godfather, Graham. If anything happens to me you have to look after it.

I think that I shall never see
DavidinBerkeley able to create a limerick as good as thee. frown

We all have different strengths. Trust mine to be worthless smile

Almost as worthless as mine.....

Someone needs to finish this one for me. I'm not skilled enough to.

That TallGuy is no damned giraffe
With the way he makes everyone laff...

That Tall Guy is like a giraffe
His long neck makes his work mates laugh
His hand is a claw
His heart a cat's paw
But he's dearly loved by
the gals on his staffe!

Tall.Guy shall be waking soon
Whilst I am singing " Goodnite Moon".
Different time zones leave us
So little time to talk
Like that fairy tale of doomed love, LADYHAWKE.
