Well, the movie only took us up to the signing of the document...it didn't deal with the events that followed.



Movies rarely show what really happens after 'Happily Ever After...'.

The 1964 musical "Ben Franklin In Paris" which ran five years before "1776" (starring Robert Preston) with enough imagination could work as a "sequel" to "1776".

I remember when BFIP was produced. Even as a youngster I was so conscious of the Founding Father business. Guess it was still an era when we were taught about those guys from a young age.
