Watched the movie. Descent enough. Found the score to be rather quite good compared to some of Isham's newer scores. I'm not sure it's worth the $40 price tag or so though? Appreciate anyone who'd like to chime in on OS and Isham's newer scores.

My favorite Isham score. The End Credits contain some of the most touching music I've heard in a movie! <-------- whatever that means. roll eyes

I wouldn't pay $40 for it though. I think you could easily get it for under $5 somewhere on the internet or at Cheapo records in St. Paul (I noticed you were from Minnesota, so Am I).

Other Isham scores I like: "Racing Stripes," "Miracle," "Rules of Engagement."

A River Runs Through It for me. Little Man Tate is also pretty good.

Watched the movie again today. I forgot how great this soundtrack was by Mark Isham. I even liked the 50s rock songs. Since this is a pretty high price tag now, I wonder if this will ever be re-released?

This is also my favorite Isham score. I like the film quite a lot as well but the music is a big part of its power. I would happily buy an expansion if one was done. Hopefully any songs would be moved out of the main program though.

Rare case where there are some classic songs mixed in that I DON'T program out!

Just watched this wonderful and uplifting movie....Mark Isham's score had me in tears.
Very early film performance (1999) from the brilliant Jake Gyllenhaal.

There was a spell of years where Isham could do no wrong for me.
MRS SOFFEL, TROUBLE IN MIND, BILLY BATHGATE, A RIVER RUNS THROUGH IT, OF MICE & MEN, BROWNING VERSION, NELL, FLY AWAY HOME, EDUCATION OF LITTLE TREE, AT FIRST SIGHT, GALAPAGOS, MEN OF HONOUR, LIFE AS A HOUSE, THE MAJESTIC, MIRACLE, CRASH *
Plus OCTOBER SKY of course.
Just great scores and music that I return to often.

*and there's many more.

Thanks for the 'heads up'

MIRACLE is fantastic. But you must see the film FIRST to get the impact!
