I've updated the thread title; if you know of titles available for download elsewhere, please indicate that, but please continue to avoid links to illegal sites. I hope this thread can be helpful to collectors and I don't want it locked.
I am reviving this thread because I was trying to sort through the world of digital releases… Obviously there have been hundreds in the past years, and a lot of them I seem to have missed. For example, I was totally suprised to find out that Patrick Doyle's "Whiskey Galore" had been released digitally in 2017…
So, does anybody know, if there is a list out there for digital soundtrack releases? A special search engine or a "technique" to list them all?
I would also be interested in a list of scores that have only been released on vinyl since the renaissance of that medium.
Any help whould be greatly appreciated! Thanks :-)
While on the subject of Digital Downloads, buysoundtrax.com has a rather large section of titles available for download in 24bit with digital with digital booklets as well.
It would be nice to have a single thread available to keep track of soundtracks available only as iTunes downloads. To that end:
CASINO ROYALE (complete) - David Arnold - Sony Classics EIGHT BELOW - Mark Isham - Walt Disney Records THE BLACK HOLE - John Barry - Walt Disney Records THE LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMEN - Trevor Jones - Varese Sarabande (US only)
Please add more.
Check sites like 7digital. They sell legal 16/44 downloads. Even 24 bit when available.

Our digital only titles are sold on our website. All but a couple are 24 bit and priced at $7.99. All titles on CD include a 24 bit download with purchase. We believe in creating value wherever we can.
I really think we are in changing times... I don't know how much longer selling physical media for music distribution will be a sustainable business model. Even higher profile titles these days don't always get a printed CD release, but if a physical release at all, it is sometimes a "print on demand" CD-R release (which is ironically something anyone could do themselves with a lossless download anyway).

You are probably right. Which brings me back to my question: does anybody know if there is an easy way to find out about the medium a soundtrack is released on without searching for each individual realease on soundtrackcollector, amazon or discogs?
