They are all excellent sets. The ones that I have are: * Film Noir * Crime Jazz * David Amram Film Scores * Jazz in Polish Cinema * The New Wave * Beat, Square and Cool I'm not sure if there are others, but if there are, I'm in.

The Manchurian Candidate is all of disc 1 and over 60 minutes. The 3 CD set also includes Splendor in the Grass, The Arrangement (wonderful Greek influences!), Pull My Daisy, The Young Savages, and Echoes of an Era.

The more Waxman scores I hear the more astonished I am that he could write such incredible Film music in so many different modes. Try this back to back with Untamed or Hemingway's Adventrues of a Young Man. CRAZY I've had similar experience with - believe this - Mario Nascimbene. After absorbing jazz soundtracks like La prima notte di quiete & La garçonnière, my appreciation for Nascimbene increased. Crime in the Streets is not a typical Waxman soundtrack, but writing in differing modes was not uncommon with composers like Masaru Sato(h), Andre Hossein, Hans-Martin Majewski, etc. Plus, if you love Umiliani, then you might be receptive towards other Italians such as Piccioni or Trovajoli (if you don't already love'em).

I wonder if I still have my Crime in the Streets LP on white vinyl. I'll have to check.
