Anyone get to hear Las 13 Rosas ? What a beautiful, quiet, melancholy score, reminded me of Herrmann's Vertigo, in places, it has that sort of yearning quality. I've only listened to it once so far, but it definitely hit the spot. The more I hear of Banos music, the more I like it.

Banos is a very good composer, totaly agree with you there, also check out his fellow countryman ANGEL ILLARAMENDI, LOS BORGIA IS GLORIOUS.

Yes, I have Teresa by Illarramendi and Nyman, I need to give it a few more spins. Some good film music coming from Spain, no doubt about it.

Another early Banos score that really shines. I'm really missing this Banos, who seems to have disappeared some 10 years ago. Yes, it wears its Bernard Herrmann on its sleeve, no doubt.

(As for Illarramendi, he's one of my top favourite composers of today, and I have basically everything he's done. The present-day Delerue! Sadly also underused in the last decade).

Shame my bump 10 days ago didn't yield any response, because the score deserves it. The whole thing is on YouTube, for anyone interested:
