Since we (myself included) liberally post our anger when BSX makes a mistake, I think it's only right to recognize when they do things right. The replacement for my missing order finally arrived today in perfect condition, so to me this means that Mark & co. are working to improve their customer service and I wish them well.

I'd like to ask the board members not to turn this thread to a debate, just let it die; my purpose here is to be fair after making my problem public. If you still have a problem with a shipment, keep working on it with Mark and I hope it can be resolved amicably.

Of the 4 CD's Mark Banning still owes me, which I discussed here 6 weeks ago, I have still received only 1, along with more delays and lies.

So, as far as I'm concerned, he hasn't changed his behavior one iota.

Has anyone received Halloween III yet? Will we have it before Halloween 2008? You would have thought they would have released it in Sept. so we could have had it before Halloween this year?

With a single exception, I've gotten nothing but high quality from BSX.

On the other hand, that single exception has been an autographed copy of Enterprise that hasn't arrived in my mailbox for months, even after Mark personally emailed me saying he'd send it out at the end of that week.

Nice release aside, and strictly speaking from a marketing standpoint, it just makes sense that they would have made a more solid effort to try and get this title out and ready for shipping, well before October 31st (even the William Ross horror title) so that people could have the disc in hand to enjoy while scaring the crap out of lil' trick or treaters. That business decision has had to of have hurt the sales of that disc in some form or another. I'm not certain, but I seem to recall that in some of BSX's original advertising of the title that they mentioned that this much requested score would arrive just in time for Halloween, sparking much speculation of what it actually was.

Still, a nice release, nonetheless, and it would ideal to see more expanded Carpenter/Howarth CDs coming out in the future. How about a deluxe edition of THEY LIVE? (Say, released a week after Dia de los Muertos (Nov, 1&2 Day of the dead.)

I have yet to receive my copy of Hisaishi's SPIRITED AWAY, which I ordered earlier this year.

At this point, I'm thinking refund.

Hesus, you are STILL ordering stuff from buysoundtrax?! Surely, you ought know better. SAE and Intrada are the only trustworthy sites out there. I have made sure that as many a folk I know in the soundtract business, as many of them will know about the problematic business practices of this one specific company. They will never order from BSX again. There is no need!

And, everybody, you should all know that it's not just Banning behaving like this, it's his partner in, dare I say "crime?," none other than our own, venom-tongued Ford Thaxton!

Ford Thaxton, who answered the phone when I called BSX, and said they'd send the titles out that day.

And I still have received only 1 of the promised 4!

I'd love to know what you people do to get decent service out of those creeps!

But don't be too specific; this isn't a porn site...

Hearing of yet another BSX order going missing doesn't suggest much of an improvement to me. Can I ask how long it took to eventually receive what you paid for? Less than a month?

We owe John a PUBLIC APOLOGY..

This matter was not handled well by us and he has every right to be upset with us on this matter.

The items he's been waiting for have arrived and will ship in the morning. (One item will be released next tuesday and will be shipped to him at that time).

We screwed up on this one and have no excuses.

We offer our apologies, he might well not appect them which to be honest is very understandable given how this was handled.

Sincerely,

Ford A. Thaxton

Ford Thaxton just called me on the phone, twice!

But I am so fed up with their lies, more attempts to mollify, especially here, where you can read how well-meaning they want to sound.

But it's all lies!

They still don't do what they say they're going to do.

They're creeps, the lot of them.

It's been nearly a full YEAR since I've been in this stupidity with them!

6 WEEKS AGO, Ford told me they'd send me what they owed me.

And they don't even answer my e-mails!

This Board is the ONLY way to get their attention!

See above...

I did call him this evening and I'm sorry for how this matter was handled.

Once again, I offer you a public apology and assure you the matter will be resolved tomorrow.

FYI, in this specific case, the shipping location was MEXICO......

Shipping in that part of the world is far from the best, which is why the original shippment wasn't received.

Ford,
Just FYI, I order from SAE, Intrada, Amazon and Deep Discount once or twice a month with very few problems, so if BSX is having problems with shipments here, perhaps a review of your shipping methods are in order. I do agree that Mexico (no all-caps) is not as reliable as the US, but it's far from being a huge problem.

My anger about this order is not that it had originally been lost for whatever reason, it's that when I repeatedly contacted BSX I got no reply until I started posting here.

Basil,
The order took six months to fulfill. I'm not complimenting BSX here, I'm just recognizing that they did finally come through and hoping they're making an honest effort to fix these problems.

Six months is a ridiculous ammount of time to wait for CD's. I don't give a damn what soundtrack company it is. I am not all that surprised people continue to buy from BSX. I guess they like getting screwed over.
