The film was a middling, uneven mess, yet Howard's score is the only bright spot.
I'd vote for the incredible ensemble cast (or whoever cast the film) to be another rare bright spot in the production, although what the actors actually brought to the table is another matter...
I'm with vinylscrubber. I found the movie imperfect at times but VERY entertaining. I really enjoyed the whole cast. (Who would know that a movie could build such tension from the simple act of picking up a toothpick. )
I liked the score within the context of the movie.
So glad this got the stand alone release... looking forward to hearing the complete presentation. JNH really threw in all his styles into this score. Interesting how this score has people so divided...for me it has everything that makes JNH great.
