Eric, try refreshing your cache. I doubt if your cache would be really old, but I updated the links for my pix (I thought all of them) quite a while ago when the URL for my page changed from http://www.mjq.net/fiveo/[whatever] to http://www.fiveohomepage.com/[whatever]

BTW, I am redoing all reviews on my site, since some of them haven't been updated since 1994. At the end of each redone review, I have a "GALLERY" of pictures from the show. Check this one out for a good laugh:

Cleared caches, cleared browsing history, everything. It shows up on IE, which I never use but on this one I can only see the image if I right click open image in new tab. Otherwise I get those little broken image rectangular things. Just can't figure it out since I have no desire to go back to IE.

I've enjoyed sampling a bunch of episodes across the spectrum to as far as Season 10 the past week. There are a handful of S11 episodes that are okay but S12 is just like watching an alien show entirely. The Wo Fat finale offers some satisfaction but if only they'd made it a better two hour episode finale.

As part of my re-viewing H50 episodes in the last while, many of which haven't been updated for 20 years or more, I have added a gallery of selected photos to the end of each review which is finished (still another 49 to go as of today).

Check out the following episodes, all of which starred Pauly Gardener (or Gardner, her name varies in the end credits).

Babe alert, she appears in the background at one of the hotel pools in S06E17, "One Born Every Minute":

I recently finished re-viewing all 278 episodes, which took me about 2½ years ... many of my reviews had not been updated completely since I originally did them in the mid-1990s.

Check the gallery (pictures) from S09E20, "To Kill A Mind," starring Pauly Gardner.

http://fiveohomepage.com/5-0log9.htm#211

You can click on them to see larger photos. I would like to do this for all of the gallery pictures, but unfortunately, the large ones from the first four seasons almost all got deleted.

There are some other interesting goodies on the site, too!

I hearby request Linda Purl in S7's "The Hostage"!!!

Done! smile

Seared into our Yum! memory is the footage of Purl's perfect 'derriere in the air' as she crawls and positions herself prone on the floor of her high rise apartment while her captor, crazed Korean War vet Dane Clark, endangers her while engaged in gunplay with Five-O and HPD, both positioned below at street level. . . . Good character study of the two alone and both Linda and Dane are up to the task. I will quip, however, that lovely Linda deserves an Emmy nom. for maintaining a straight face and not cracking up at the sight of Dane's ridiculous, outrageously-obvious, oh-so-poor toupee.

The relatively lackluster S11 episode "The Meighan Conspiracy" did offer as a redeeming feature, a rare post-"Ironside" appearance by Barbara Anderson.

Barbara's hubby, Robert Reed (in his full bad late 70s permed hair and moustache mode and who dismisses McGarrett as a "pussycat" that he can handle) is a successful designer of shopping centers, who has also in the course of his designs come up with seemingly foolproof ways to rob the vaults of the banks that are part of those same shopping centers! (exactly how he was able to get the local contractors to build his Mission: Impossible style tunnel system is left unexplained, as Mister Mike notes on his site).

John Cacavas's upbeat, light-hearted score and Barbara's deliberately enticing derriere adorned in sexy, ultra-white, no-panty-lines shorts atop her equally shapely, Hawaiian-tanned legs are the stars of the last 20 seconds of Act I -- before its closure with the iconic 'monster-size wave' filmed in slow motion. She and hubby Reed ooze confidence that they've pulled 'a fast one' on McGarrett. Reed takes the lead with his accomplice wife and suggests that they head to the bedroom where he'll "pull the shades" -- and in broadcast television-style, restricted terms -- indicates they'll thoroughly enjoy a 'nooner.' Barbara's knowing smile makes that a given. And off they go, walking away from the camera, then reaching the hall, turn 90 degrees left to the (out-of-view) bedroom. . . . . I will offer that most pundits wouldn't put Barbara Anderson in the Top 20 of "Five-O"'s sexiest female guest stars, but -- immediately prior -- she smiles with a confident sexiness to their two departing henchmen and earlier, the inquisitive McGarrett. It's clear to all with her luscious, bare back, she's not wearing a bra beneath her revealing green top. She's definitely cracked the Top 40.
. . . . The jaunty music is a near duplicate variation of that which Cacavas composed to open the show and is heard again beginning at the 11:30 mark, a few minutes before Act I's end. So, 'Barbara's walk' is its third use. What makes this act close in 'The Meighan Conspiracy' significantly unique is that it's upbeat, confident, joyful-minded. As we've come to expect from 12 years of "Five-O," 95% of the time, the 'pre-wave' goings-on with an accompanying, dramatic/action score are intently intense and compelling while conveying danger or death -- then or soon after the commercial break.

I totally agree with the previous complaint re Reed's attempt at 'hair.' It looks so ridiculous, it's unforgivably bad. Atop his head doesn't even look like a 'rug,' in the sense of the disparaging term for toupee, but rather a real section of rug! For our fetching female guest star, between facing that, then on top of Jack Lord's long, color-treated locks fashioned into a ridiculous-looking (for his age) pompadour -- hair-sprayed to 'stiff-as-a-board status -- Barbara deserved an Emmy nom. for keeping a straight face and not breaking out laughing.

Mistermike earlier wrote:

Trying to do my best to revive an old thread, which has had no new postings for a couple of years...

Early on in this thread, it is claimed that Elizabeth Logue (the woman who is seen at the beginning of every Classic H50 show in the credits) died in 1988. This is not correct.

According to a posting on my discussion forum quite a while ago:

"Elizabeth 'Betty' Logue, who was the wife of Andrew Duggan [who appeared in 5 episodes of the original show as well as the post-H50 Jack Lord-directed M Station Hawaii] IS NOT the same Liz Logue from [the] Five O opening sequence. Elizabeth Logue Duggan did pass from cancer in 1988."

The guy who posted this, Ray from Portsmouth, was obsessed with finding the woman from the opening credits, and, as I recall, he actually did meet her at some point.

If you go to my site (www.fiveohomepage.com) and use the SITE SEARCH thingie near the top of the page, and search for "Elizabeth Logue" (including the quote marks) you will numerous references to all this...

By the way, I have updated a few pictures which I posted to this thread above which got screwed up when my site name changed slightly!

Hello Mike, thx for your post. Yes, I am Ray, who was “obsessed” with verifying if Elizabeth Logue was still alive, and who previously posted this info on your site. I actually take that as a compliment. It was a challenge worth pursuing.

I won’t go into all the detail as to how and why I embarked on that journey to research the alleged passing of Elizabeth Logue, analogous to Mark Twain’s, “the rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated.” It’s a long story. Suffice it to say, that when I looked at all the online references to Elizabeth Logue, things just didn’t add up…dates of birth, family connections etc, etc. So, I decided to do a deep dive and actually get to the bottom of this mystery. This was over 10 years ago. Through a few lucky and fortuitous leads, I found an extended relative or two online who did in fact verify that she was still living, and provided me her current married name, which is not Logue. From there I deduced an educated guess as to her location and simply wrote her a letter. Surprisingly, she replied back and thanked me, as a fan, for my discretion and for reaching out to her with my inquiry. At that time, she even offered to meet up with her and her husband at a restaurant whenever I was in town. I never followed up with her kind invitation. I did however put her in touch with a former college friend I met on another forum whom she hadn’t seen in over 50 years! That friend reported back to me that their phone conversation was a very serendipitous and tearful reunion, so I was quite elated to hear that, and realized that all my research had not been in vain.

In any event, to recap, as of now, 24 Sept 2021, Elizabeth is still alive and well, at age 80. Her current husband, a few years older, is also still living to the best of my knowledge. In recent years, her son Mark has popped up here and there online occasionally to let everyone know that his mother is still alive and well. Some have speculated online as to where she now lives. I will neither confirm nor deny any of that, nor her current name, out of respect for her privacy. I made that promise to her.

The reason her death is still being erroneously reported is because of sketchy, uncorrected links and photos that are still propagating online, linking her to the unfortunate passing of Elizabeth “Ann” Logue in 1988. Nancy Duggan, daughter of actor Andrew Duggan and Elizabeth “Ann” Logue, came online to report that her mother passed away in 1988, and WAS NOT the Elizabeth “Louise” Logue from Hawaii Five O. It is also purely coincidental, as mistermike alluded to above, that Andrew Duggan just happened to have appeared in a few episodes of Five O. That, in itself, probably only added to the confusing mix of internet data and assumptions on Elizabeth “Louise” Logue, as probably many assumed that Andrew Duggan’s wife, Elizabeth “Ann” Logue, appeared in the opening credits by virtue of his connection to the series. Clear as mud?

Since all this news broke about 10 years ago or so, the families have in fact come forward and made attempts to change the IMDB databases to try and minimize all the confusion. Sadly, there is still some misinformation out there online that has yet to be corrected.

For more clarification, see the following and open up the embedded links within for much more detail on each:

https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0517790/bio?ref_=nm_ov_bio_sm

Hope this helps….and many thx to Eric Paddon and Mike for their outstanding contributions on their respective sites dedicated to preserving the legacy of Hawaii Five O.

Several months ago, I finished almost all of my re-viewing of Classic H50 episodes (there are still a couple yet to update). As mentioned earlier, the large photos connected with the Galleries at the end of each episode were mostly missing in seasons 1-4. (Those dated back to 2018, because I wanted to stay ahead of the show when the 50th anniversary of episodes rolled around, starting in September of that year.) Large pictures were also missing for selected other episodes from the remainder of the series.

Well, I eventually went back and either redid the large pictures as close as i could to the small ones, or I just completely redid them from scratch. (The only episode missing the large pictures for the moment is the pilot -- I think.)

I was doing revised pictures for S07E20, “And The Horse Jumped Over The Moon” which starred Jo Ann Harris. I ended up with a much wider selection. Although the episode review only has the usual 12 pictures, there is an expanded selection here, including the large ones!

Thanks for your galleries, Mike! They pretty much I think make any need to further update this thread redundant since I can't think of anyone I missed of note after some of the late additions (Jo Ann Harris).

In "Face Of The Dragon" (S1), Nancy Kovack doesn't play one of the larger-than-life roles she's best known for like Medea or Nona, but even as a doctor in charge of preventing a plague outbreak, her glamorous allure still shines through.

As always, a face to die for!

She enjoys giving vaccination shots to McGarrett's men. smile

Come on Danno, when Nancy gives the shot, you should be more enthused! smile

Only Nancy could make a surgical outfit so stylish.

This was one of Nancy's last acting roles. After appearing in "Marooned" that same year, she married conductor Zubin Mehta and basically retired, returning briefly in the pilot movie for "Ellery Queen" (billed as Nancy Mehta) and an episode of the short-lived David McCallum "Invisible Man" series.

She was also credited as Nancy Kovack Mehta in some of her television roles.

A very stunning lady, indeed!
