Coulais is great. Selick has made one of my favorite movies (Nightmare Before Christmas) and one of the most awful movies I've ever seen (Monkeybone). Gaiman has written some fun films (MirrorMask, Stardust) and an awful film (Beowulf). Hoping for a great Coraline but I don't want to get my hopes too high.
I can't find the score for pre-order yet online, but I'll be snapping this one up when it becomes available. I had the pleasure of seeing a preview of the film in December, and it's gorgeous, beautifully animated and a lot of fun. Coulais' score is terrific, and the musical number -- a piano song by They Might Be Giants, sung by an animated character, previewed at the movie's website -- is amusing and not intrusive. Definitely want to see this one again.
I saw twenty minutes of CORALINE back in December and it looked gorgeous. Not sure if I heard the original or temp score in the scenes I saw but I'm very excited to hear Coulais' work in this film. I'm hoping this gives him the exposure he needs to do more U.S. films.
I notice the Koch Entertainment website lists the street date for the release of Bruno Coulais' score to "Coraline" (KOC-CD-4741) as February 24, but I can't find it anywhere on-line -- no sign of it at Amazon, CD Universe or DeepDiscount.
It's now up for order at CD Universe, so I am sure others will follow.
And they also have The Wrestler soundtrack listed.
Just an F.Y.I., THE WRESTLER is on iTunes and the "album" is all the heavy metal songs. I have a feeling this is the same content as the physical CD as the score and Bruce Springsteen song are only available as "singles" and not part of the album.

You are right about The Wrestler soundtrack. It has no score cuts. Sorry I mentioned it.
Selick has done his past films as stopmotion animation. This one looks more CGI. Does anyone know which he's using?
It's primarily stop-motion, although I'm sure he used CGI to touch-up some minor details. The Corpse Bride, for instance, used CG to animate Emily's veil, because doing it in stop-motion would have been too difficult and cost-prohibitive.
I'll hold my tounge about a Neil Gaimen project - but I'm having a hard time picturing Ian McShane in a role that doesn't feature him saying curse words every other line.
