I seem to recall the Star Trek Into Darkness cover was a rip-off of another poster/cover design.

These covers are offensive and must be removed. We can't have damsels in distress.

This is a cool thread... too bad some of the cover links are no longer in place, but that's the Internet.

Seems some covers are obviously intentionally similar (because they are related or a reference in some way), while others are totally unexpected.

Quite an interesting collection of parallel covers.

Even from the same composer (Dolphins is on of my favorite works by him):

- Marcel Barsotti - Für immer und Immer
- Marcel Barsotti - Dolphins

Just do an image search for movie posters that look the same. (which are usually the basis for soundtrack covers)
There's thousands of copycats!

Suprised nobody mentioned these two yet ;-)

and possibly you can also add:

Or this...

Not sure which covers are missing, but in case of ATONEMENT and PRIDE OF PREJUDICE obviously the similarity is not coincidental... it's the same production team, and many people behind and in front of the camera are the same, including the composer... so the design similarity is explicitly wanted.

I wonder who created the artwork for Judicial Consent. It being a TV movie, no poster was probably produced. Perhaps Roger could enlighten us.

I'm pretty sure the missing cover is this:
