True, bu Hayes also received a lot of new, young fans after his stint as the chef in SOUTH PARK.

The Shaft theme isn’t used much in the movie. The best rendition of it is in the tv scores on the FSM release.

The Johnny Pate TV scores are my favourite part of the CD set, while his SHAFT IN AFRICA is my favourite of the film scores.

I always loved Geoff Love's version too, originally from his Big Suspense Movie Themes LP from 1972. Check it out, muthas. Lol
