Thanks for the heads up. I have the prior Toho CD release of "The Mysterians" but it might be worth getting this double-decker for "Battle". Also thank you for the information concerning "The Three Treasures" -- that will be an automatic purchase. I have the DVD with isolated track -- but have never prepared a compiliation for myself of the score as a separate listen.

Hello Increbula! Since you seem to know a bit more than us about upcoming TOHO re-releases, could you please post news whenever you have anything new to share (like: new titles announced, dates of release,...etc.)?

Another question for you, Increbula: I believe "THE THREE TREASURES" (Akira Ifukube) has never been released before, or has it?
Hmmm, I'm just seeing that, in fact, it has (in their "Complete Recordings" line. On my side, I'm an already lucky owner of them all, but can't wait to grab them again, whenever more tracks will be added to each title!... oh hell with it, I will grab them again even if no more tracks were to be found/added yep, that's how mad I am about this music!

Poor Varan...he got the short end of the stick in his career. One film and a brief cameo in DESTROY ALL MONSTERS. The US version used music by Albert Glasser and little of the original score.
Bring back VARAN!!! How about a battle with Anguirus?

Varan should have been in "Godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack" (2001), but Toho execs insited on replacing him with the more popular King Ghidorah (even though it makes no sense for the charaxcter to be in that story, and they had to completely rewrite his origin).
yeah-they even snuck in Baragon with his floppy puppy dog ears
