Hey, a desultory search of Google shows that K-FSM is not a radio station’s call letters ---- yet!

Why don’t we start one? I’ll take the afternoon drive-time slot (“I’m DavidinBerkeley, your score-whore at 4!”)

What show would you like to host?

Suggestions:
Joan Hue - “The Western Hour.”
The Nightmares - something gory, maybe for the breakfast crowd.

Steven J could take the classy route and do “The Classic Film Scores of Joan Crawford”

And since Farmer Kendall already has a day-job, he can take the graveyard shift. Or better yet, we should just make him pay for everything. big grin

I'll take the after midnight chill out sounds.

I'll take the TV shows slot (an hour of TV music every night - rotating with Thomas Banacek and Eric Paddon, of course).

Yes. Our show would feature music from Italian giallo films, and we'd call it Blood & Breakfast.

"B-Sides From Beyond"

Covering the best that B-Movie music has to offer. This week, the work of Richard Band.

I think mine would best be suited for Saturday and Sunday in the afternoon.

I'll take the "Anything by Williams, Elfman and Goldenthal Program".

Ha! "Horner's Corner" and "Blood and Breakfast" are contenders for best name.

Didn't there used to be a "Live 365" channel with all film music?

I think the whole edifice collapsed, so it's all no longer.

Really, nobody ever listened to the Live 365 film music stream?

I've tried listening to the Stage and Screen channel on cable radio ("Music Choice" brand), but their selections seldom grab me. If I were programming a station, it would be big on franchise and genre music:

• John Williams, with emphasis on Star Wars, Superman, and Jaws.
• Star Trek (the movies).
• James Bond.
• Titanic and Raise the Titanic.
• King Kong: Steiner, Barry, Howard.
• Sci-Fi Treats: Time After Time, The Omega Man, The Black Hole...

How about "James' Recycler Retrospective"? It might even be a good tie-in for ad income from "green" companies.

Borrowing a thread title from elsewhere, how about “Waxing Over Waxman,” devoted to Franz Waxman’s work.

I’d give my show the snappy title “Who Knows Film Music, Who Only Film Music Knows?”

Two hours every week dedicated to the music behind the music: works by Khatachurian, Prokofiev, Shostakovich, side by side with the film scores derived from them. It’s edjamacational.

I’m sure WKFMWOFMK would become a firm favourite.
