So let me get this straight... you don't want Humming birds at you "bird feeder"? That's a bit odd.
More precisely, he doesn't seem to want hummingbirds using his hummingbird feeder. Maybe he lives in an alternate universe where the opposite effect is supposed to happen. Have you tried posting a cat guard at that location? If you really want to get rid of the hummingbirds once and for all, you might try getting rid of the hummingbird feeder.
Somehow, this whole thing reminds me of Jeff Goldblum in Jurassic Park, when he stares into the video camera and says "Now, eventually, you do plan to have DINOSAURS on your DINOSAUR tour?"
Of course he expects his hummingbird feeder to attract hummingbirds. He's just making a joke about hold bold and fearless the little buggers are.

Cute bird. It's like it's thinking "let's go over here and flap my wings a little....no, let's go over here....here is good....no, I'm bored, let's flap over here"....etc.

No lie, Josh-o. Apparently they can hit 60 mph, so no telling what kind of havoc they could cause.
Actually, I do remember one turning away from the feeder to ward off another that had approached. I read that they just rush each other and bluff like they are going to smack into the invading creature. But that time he collided for real and I know because I could hear it.
Well, they've stepped it up. And sneaky b****ds that they are, they waited 10 years to do it!
They got one of them, a female, to invade my privacy. She's "innocently" decided to build a nest RIGHT OUTSIDE my living room window.
I have an old hummingbird feeder there, and in the last few days I've been seeing a bird dashing away when I've gone near the window. "Oh, no," I thought, "they're trying to feed at THIS one, too, even though it's been unfilled for a couple of years."
But no, it's one them, cramming all manner of flotsam together into a nest shape, dandelion fluff on the bottom. The whole thing is held in place with cobwebs. And it's conveniently on the side of the feeder NEXT to my window, so she can just stare at me whenever she wants.
What in the name of Kendall do I do now? Do I have to see a judge to get a restraining order? Or can I just have her arrested?
I have several feeders on my porches and I do enjoy watching the hummingbirds. They are very bold and in fact I’ve had them hover only inches away from my face when I was drinking from a red bottle or wearing a red cap. It’s amazing how aggressive, territorial and intolerant the males are toward other males. I’ve always wondered if the males ever spear one another as hard as they charge.
SHE'S HAVING TWINS!!!!! For the Love of Kendall, this going to be a mess. I saw 2 eggs in the nest (which is made from the filthiest stuff you can imagine. It looks like it was all grabbed off of trees and off the grounds. And stuck together with icky spiderwebs!
Twice as many stinky diapers, unwashed bottles, midnight feedings. This is not looking good.
On a break in algarve portugal and have a nest of 4 baby swallows above the electric box in the porch! Sadly one went for a dive but the remaining 3 bee gees brothers are chirping away high pitched from about 5am!
