Incredible! Thank you Lukas! It'll be great to hear the original recording including the boat chase. Very happy that Mr. Kimmel's tape weathered the years so well.

A fine release. This is my kind of Goldsmith.

Just curious where the boat chase music is included. I see that same number of tracks and titles are used in both recordings , but a couple of cues are significantly longer in this release. Eddie's Death. You can hear it in the sample. Exciting stuff!

Islands in the Stream premiered in the U.S. in early 1977; however, the film's copyright is 1976. Lukas

For me, this, alongside Patton and The Omen, is one of my three absolute favourite Jerry Goldsmith scores. I like none better than these three. (Papillon and Star Trek I being my most honourably mentionable 4 and 5, perhaps.) Does anyone else feel the same, i.e. that this score really is one of the best? (Personally, I like this kind of stuff better than the action movies, though I recognise that's going to make me seem odd in the eyes of some.) Cheers
