Todd, After watching this installment and seeing your mock up (maybe there's a more appropriate term for it) already in place, it brings up a question about your compositional process. When you start composing a piece, how do you go about doing it? What I mean is do you start out composing at the keyboard much in the classic way and then break that down later into orchestral parts after you've completed the basic composition or do you compose building the orchestral parts from the very beginning? Using the tools you have I can see how the latter is possible whereas it would be much more difficult without them. The former would generally be the piano score/sketches first and then the orchestrated score second.

Thanks Mark. I was planning on doing on blog on this very topic sometime next week but since you asked, I'm going to do it soon. As such, instead of posting Part 3 of Vancouver tomorrow I will attend to this topic. Thanks!!]
