I'm watching the video now, it's really great.

Regards the Universal series, at around 1hr 18m, MV says the Universal Heritage line is being rebranded as Universal Classics going forward, so Munsters, Go Home! could be the first release under that.

EDIT: Listening to MV on vinyl at 1hr 24 - YES!!! I agree with him so much - aside from the artwork, it's an awful format big grin

Its like ditching the automobile and going back to the horse and buggy. Smells about the same too.

They start talking about it at about 1 hr 39 minutes in on the video above.

Sept 15 planned releases

Munsters Go Home - first in a new Universal series
QM3: Streets of San Francisco
Forces of Nature, John Powell

Nice to see Forces of Nature getting an official release, really a fun score!

Powell and JHN are usually universally solid no matter the genre they are writing for. I second the person who said bring on Pluto Nash too!

I personally haven't gone back to vinyl, but for my friends that have it is very much about the ritual experience involved in playing the music, less so the resultant the sound quality.

Fot a long time, there was a hug back catalog of material available cheaply in thrift stores and at garage sales. Not so much anymore.

That ritual was fun, but I would much rather have some good monitors and my entire collection at my fingertips via iTunes.
I can fully understand the appeal to collector's though, just like I can understand the disdain of labels to serve that market.

After spending the last few months loading up on music, I'm greatly looking forward to the release of QM v3 as it's going to be among the last batch of CDs I buy for quite a while.

Actually at 67:35, and no explanation why Universal is already tweaking. Is it only PR, or will they start changing which titles are available, etc.

Pluto Nash is one of my favorite Powell themes.

I hated the movie Forces of Nature when it came out (mostly the distractingly mannered direction, and the inexplicable ending -- why did he go through all that just to stay with his fiance?), but I don't remember the score and I'm always happy to have more Powell. And there's always something reassuring when relatively obscure, decades-old scores like this manage to finally get a release.

Had to wonder why Robert Conrad was on that page of linear notes for the Streets of San Francisco, and than I noticed A Man Called Sloan on the packaging.

Is there any index of music for the Munsters Go Home CD yet?

Are any more Star Trek collections planned? I would like to see a Volume 3 for "Star Trek: Voyager". There is plenty of unreleased music.

Still hoping for that "The Way of the Warrior" variant of the DS9 main title.

Yes please. And more of Enterprise.

MV said "hopefully more Trek" for 2021, but I don't think that every show gets a third volume.
