Thanks! I just ordered it.
But including the second disc is a waste, and inconsistent with the ST 2 release.

Perhaps the license agreement with a different record company than II required it? Just a thought.

Give the man the cigar..

The First Fanboy bitchng about this release within Three minutes of the first posting.

It's the best of both worlds, if you liked the album version, you get it.

If you want to the expanded score, you get that...

And you only have to pay an additional $5.00 for the 2nd CD...

Not a bad deal for those of us wanting this sort of release for the last 26 years....

Beautiful work, well done FSM!
That's how an album has to be presented.

And please, to those 2nd disc bashers, stay away from this thread.
If you can't afford $5 more to get this cd set, then you probabely couldn't affor $19.95 as well.

So just be quiet.

including the second disc is a waste, and inconsistent with the ST 2 release.

It's also inconsistent with the "Mutiny on the Bounty" release, which had three discs. What are they doing to us?!

I'm not at all & Horner fan, but I saw both films back-to-back the other weekend, & I have to admit that the music is terrific

Edit: Disc 1's "End Titles" sample just made my morning. Can't wait to get this!

Wow, I didn't expect this to be released so soon! I can't wait to get this one in the mail. And I can't believe anyone would complain about getting a second disc with the original album, remastered for improved sound quality. Thank you FSM! I'm assuming this one is unlimited like ST II, correct?

Excellent! I'm ordering a copy as soon as I get home. Kudos to all!

Not only that, I'm doing my part to publicize the release by posting it to Facebook and letting all my geek friends know.

As noted in the announcement, a few tracks on the original album were different from their film counterparts. Now we get both. A couple fans and I even had a long back and forth about this on SAE's Facebook page.

To paraphrase Dr. McCoy: "Lukas, I'm glad you're on our side." smile

Don't think it is....better...I have just ordered a bunch of scores this morning so I can wait without any rush to buy this title a next time.
But I will definately buy it, this title is on my wishlist for quite some time (the old release was getting more expensive everyday!)
