I guess that makes Christopher Lloyd some kind of prodigy!

Imagine, already acting for Powell & Pressbuger at the age of . . . two?

Such a great film, I have it on DVD and will be watching again very soon.

I originally posted this thread many years ago. If you're inclined, LISTEN to this dialoge from the Oscar winning script. It hasn't lost one ounce of it's importance, in fact, it's even more powerful TODAY.

Good choice for today. So much talent behind the camera. RVW's first film score. Fred Young as DP. And David Lean making a considerable impact by reducing Powell's excess footage.

He doesn't have any lines, just makes faces. I thought he looked like Massey, but I'm probably mistaken.

That's Niall McGinnis.

No, LOL!

Niall MacGinnis doesn't look like Raymond Massey!

If you'll look at the clip at the four-minute mark, center screen, you'll know who I mean.

Who IS that actor, if he's not Raymond Massey? Somebody HELP ME!

That is Peter Moore as Kranz.

I re-watched this P&P (but not yet The Archers) classic this evening. That scenery at Leslie Howard's camp is so stunning - the trees, the water - that I wish that the film could switch to Technicolor briefly for those establishing shots.
