You laugh, Shaun, but HOT TO TROT is awesome. More like PEE WEE'S BIG ADVENTURE than BIG TOP PEE WEE is. If all the WB music execs were gathering to announce _that_ (a film that isn't even on DVD, by the way!), I'd be over the moon with joy. Afterall, it was a movie that they offered to Burton to direct, so it sort of fits the occasion.

Yea, LLL's 5,000 unit release has GOT to be Batman at this point. I really don't get why it couldn't have been unlimited, though.

Well if Batman is the 5000 title Star Trek V better not be the 3000 title -- way too few for a Trek score. And I too am surprised that Batman wouldn't be unlimited as Star Treks II and III were -- it's just as major a score, and it was recorded in England so the reuse fees would be comparatively small. And also this: 4:30-5:30 Behind the Music: Composing for Sci-Fi, Horror, and Fantasy Film & TV— Award-winning composers Wendy Melvoin and Lisa Coleman (Heroes) Woah that's gonna be the most underwhelming talk ever. Heroes, among other failures, had maybe the worst music this side of Desperate Housewives I don't know if you've ever heard any of Daniel Schweiger's audio interviews with them, but they only answer questions with synth pads, so it actually should be a must-see. For example: DANIEL: Tell us about some of your experiences with Prince. WENDY: (pitch bend synth pad) LISA: (helicopter sounds)

WENDY: Hey Wendy? LISA: Yes Lisa? DANIEL does a terrible impression of a Prince shriek before going into an even more apalling version of "Where is my love life?"

Granted its not The Simpsons, or Tales from the Crypt, but I like it more than some of Elfmans other TV themes. not the theme, but, the weekly under score, the horrid plink-plink cutesy-poo music.
