This is the Michael Biehn psycho stalker thriller, not the DeNiro/Snipes film. It's probably my most wanted unreleased Donaggio score, written during, to me, his best period. It's got a great racy Main Title and some terrific suspense music and lyrical passages. I always hoped Varese would release this score, at a time when they really championed his music. But it wasn't to be. The way older scores are released these days, this one could be in the offing. I certainly hope so. By the way, I'll lay off the Pino overkill now

Love the movie because of several excellent performances (underrated IMO), and love the score. The main title sequence is mesmerizing due both to the great score and the clever cinematography/editing. It would be weird to listen to the main title without Michael Biehn's voiceover as he's writing letters. I might be able to get used to it.

It's a pity Pino doesn't have a bigger following from soundtrack collectors. I'm sure with the Paramount vaults having been prised open, this one would be OUT THERE if labels weren't a bit cautious about Donaggio sales

My most wanted score! I've come to the conclusion that I simply cannot be objective about Pino Donaggio. I love his work! I'm briefly in this film.

Don't make me pop the DVD in and hunt. I will if I have to. Ha! I really don't remember exactly where it is. I haven't seen the film in a long time. I'm barely in it. I'm walking down the street with a girl. I'll check and let you know.

Alright, I've check. I'm at the 28:30 mark through about 28:41. I'm walking with a girl, and we act like we recognize Sally Ross as she passes us on the street. I'm wearing a brown jacket and jeans. I sincerely wish I still had that waistline!

Except he had an actual role in the film.

Excellent cast for this pic, even though it was a little on the sleazy side in some sequences. Great score. Very energetic if I remember correctly... It has been a while. I find all the performances, quite natural. No one really ever comes off like they are acting, which I appreciate.

I bought their friendship and believed they'd been together for years and years. I bought Garner and Bacall's past without seeing a second of it. All the performances were genuine.

If this ever got released, would you want the Main Title to include The Fan's narration during the opening credit music? The music would sure sound weird without it.

No. The goal is to have the score. I agree it'll be weird to hear the opening title music without the narration, but if I want the narration, I'd rather watch the sequence to get the audio/video together. For the soundtrack, I just want the music.

I would definitely want the opening WITH the fan's (Biehn's) narration -- I don't think that it works well without it. Back when I was making CDs of audio moments from DVDs I should have taken that very effective opening, but didn't. One of these days I'll have to do that. But it was nice to find that this soundtrack means a lot to many people. I've always loved the movie -- Michael Biehn is quite good in his role as the obsessed fan, and Bacall is also very good as the famous star being stalked by someone who's supposed to be in love with her. Quite chilling, yet satisfying. And the music stops you in your tracks!
