I'm really grateful to Intrada for their efforts to get this score released at our request. DuckTales definitely deserves a release as much as any other score out there. For whatever reason, keeping a work of art from people who love and appreciate it is wrong. Some things are worth persevering for and I wish that eventually whatever problem is being faced gets cleared and we get to see the album released.

It can't be in the Danger Zone if it's never been released. Maybe you are talking about the film score by a different composer; there's a thread for that.

Perhaps a 'best of' single disc release rather than a boxset might be more attractive to the powers that be? I know I'm desperate enough that any release, even just a one-disc "best of" would be welcome. Of course, I know myself too well, and I recognize that that would end up being torture to me unless I knew future volumes were forthcoming. Hypothetically, I could be sitting there basking in "The Wooly Walrus's Rampage" in all its isolated glory, but that would make me ache even worse for a second disc with, say, "Invasion Of The Bin Snatchers!" or "The Temple Of Aphroducke". the new show is the thing! It isn't your feathers, err, father's DuckTales. It isn't DuckTales AT ALL in my book. The characters are imposters, the animation is an insult to the original, the tone is completely different (goodbye, innocent childlike whimsy and hello, snarky cynicism) and the music is "just there". Even worse, the Internet has built a shrine to it and believes it's above reproach, and anybody who dares defend the original must be burned at the stake. Well, we don't know what the "problem" is, exactly. My best guess would be because of the new show, they don't want anything related to the old show out right now That's my guess too. Just another reason for me to bear an unhealthy death-grudge against the reboot. On the bright side, maybe that means that after this abomination masquerading as DuckTales has run its two-season course, Disney will finally give Intrada the go-ahead?

#WhyILoveDuckTales is trending on Twitter today - if you use the platform, tweet, or *ahem* quack some love for Ron Jones' score. Please use that hashtag in your 'quack'. Thanks for the heads-up! I wish I had a wider reach, but... https://twitter.com/kenisu3000/status/1128446188481417216 Goddamn, how many trendy buggers there are hashtagging it... "#WhyILoveDuckTales It's a reboot that just OOZES with love for the source material (and the source material's source material.) The characters have been reimagined to give them more personality AND we get characters we've never seen. and, it's about family. wholesome fun " Reimagined, yet "oozes" with love for the source material and the comics... even though it's barely like either... Naturally, the moment the production stops, all these buggers will bugger off to some other franchise and suck the very soul out of it by supporting its crummy reboot as, hey, it's trending - therefore it's good.. sigh... And the fact that much of them are shipper filth... oof, that especially pisses me off. Bunch degenerates.
