I think they were dating at the time.
It might have been just after Don Johnson, or just before Don Johnson.

Disclosure:
I like "The Prince Of Tides". A lot of it is clearly silly, but it also has a lot going for it.

My mother played the piano and organ her entire life and could not read music. She played strictly by ear.

I bet she had a big ear! smile

No but she had a good one. She did have a big heart and a big presence to the five kids she raised. She was all of 4'10" and 90 lbs soaking wet. She had to have special adjustments made to the organ pedals. smile

Read the book, O-dog. You'll see what I mean.

I thought the movie Prince of Tides was good. Yes, I read the novel also, but movies can't transfer a whole novel to a movie. I thought the movie did the best it could with the source novel.

I thought she was great in Funny Girl and in The Way We Were. I thought she and Redford were amazing as star-crossed lovers.

I also have always been a fan of her singing voice. She can belt out a song.

I agree with you, Joan. It's a an amazingly good movie with a great performance by Nolte.

I read Prince of Tides and I enjoyed the film.
I also loved Barbra in What's Up, Doc.
And I love her voice.
I have no personal opinion of her since I have never met her.

I share everyone's high opinion of her voice and acting.

It is her vanity that I scrutinize here.
