One question about the lovely True Love/Kristina's theme: is this theme inspired on or has it ever been turned into a popular song? I don't know why, but every time I hear it I'm half expecting to hear Barry Manilow's voice pop in.

It's a truly remarkable score and song.

Got a copy of this yesterday to complete my Donaggio/De Palma collection.

Listened to it three or four times and I'm really loving it. That love theme really is great, but I think my favourite cue might be "Denis Up A Tree." It's only 52 seconds, but what a glorious 52 seconds.

Just waiting on the DVD to arrive from Germany now so I can actually watch the film.

This was the first time I ever heard Pino-D in a more light-hearted, comedic and playful mood, after getting to know him via DON'T LOOK NOW and CARRIE and DRESSED TO KILL and PIRANHA and THE HOWLING.
And it was also my first time to hear that classical/rock fusion riff/style (he would Mozart things up in COSI FAN TUTTE as opposed to Rossini for this one).
It's an eclectic score for sure.
All over the place, I suppose, but apparently the film is like-wise (a rare DePalma movie I've still never seen).
But it's a great score and listen.
I never tire of it.
Perfect Pino (chef's kiss).

This film made $89 million on a $400,000 budget. Hollywood take note!

It made 89 THOUSAND $$$
Although it was a cheap film (under half a million) it still flopped badly.
It never got released in the UK (to my knowledge).
